Slope Grooming Entry Level Operator

Position Overview
This position is responsible for operating heavy equipment, including snowcats, articulated loaders and other snow removal equipment to support the safe and efficient operation of Mt. Hood Meadows. Primary duties include grooming ski slopes to enhance the skiing and riding experience for guests, as well as performing snow removal to maintain access to lift, lodges, parking areas, and other essential facilities. The role is expected to provide high-quality snow surfaces and clear, navigable areas across to resort to contribute to both guest satisfaction and operational continuity.

This is a full-time, seasonal position

Qualifications & Experience
• Must be at least 19 years of age
• Have a valid driver’s license
• Have excellent verbal communication skills
• Have a reliable plan to get to work during winter conditions
• Be able to work on a full-time basis
• Available to work weekends and holidays during the ski and snowboard season
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be comfortable with the changing dynamics of a seasonal business

Preferred Qualifications & Experience
• Possess a strong mechanical aptitude
• Possess basic computer skills (MS Office)
• Previous Slope or Park Grooming experience
• Previous heavy equipment operation experience
• Previous snow removal operation experience
Compensation:
• Starting Wage: $ 21.25 hourly
