Job Description
The Hospitality Technology Specialist will own the lifecycle of the property’s Hospitality Systems, primarily the core Property Management System (Oracle Opera PMS) and its integrations. This will include the install, break/fix, upgrade, maintenance, and training of the aforementioned systems. To accomplish this, one will need to successfully collaborate with IT teams, corporate staff, and various third-party vendors.
Job Responsibilities
Support systems in adherence to regulatory standards such as annual PCI compliance audits. Train staff department leads to use the hospitality systems correctly when fulfilling hotel duties.
Manages third-party vendors to successfully maintain operations and implement maintenance and upgrade projects. Tactfully arrange for prompt case resolution through multiple support groups. Manage vendor contracts for adequate procurement and licensing.
Execute tasks according to timelines and achieve key deliverables for interconnected hospitality systems across client and team departments. Provide succinct and timely updates to stakeholders, support groups, and leads.
Strong written and oral communication skills; critical thinking skills with attention to detail; and good presentation skills to train users with ability to establish and document operating procedures required.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Required
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related discipline
- 2 years of experience in Information Technology and/or hospitality systems
- Experience supporting Hospitality Systems: Opera Property Management Systems v5.05+ or Cloud and integrations to key, phone, and Point-of-Sale systems
- Candidate must have a proven ability to independently manage issues to resolution, mitigate blockers, and meet all financial and management goals on schedule
- Knowledgeable of information security best practices
- Experience working within project management frameworks
- Preferred
- Project Management Certification
- 3+ years of experience in hospitality operations
- Experience with Micros Simphony, Clover Flex, Visionline, Cisco Unified Call Manager, or Zebra/Toshiba Badge Printer highly preferred
- Experience with PCI Security Standards
