About the role

The Clinical Pharmacist in this role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of processing individual prescription renewal requests. This position operates within the framework of state and federal regulations, using established guidelines and protocols to authorize or escalate prescription renewals. This role is part of a diverse healthcare team and works collaboratively with physicians, licensed and unlicensed caregivers, and other clinical pharmacy department programs to optimize medication therapy. The Clinical Pharmacist plays a crucial role in ensuring high levels of patient and provider satisfaction through exceptional customer service and acts as a liaison between patients, physicians, and pharmacies.

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in PHARMACY from an accredited School of Pharmacy. Or
  • PharmD in PHARMACY from an accredited School of Pharmacy.
  • Coursework/Training: Postgraduate Year One (PGY-1) Pharmacy Residency or equivalent experience.
  • upon hire: Washington Pharmacist License.
  • upon hire: Pharmacy preceptor license in applicable state as applicable.
  • 3 years Pharmacy practice experience with at least 2 years of related experience in lieu of Postgraduate Year One (PGY-1) Pharmacy Residency

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
