About the DDM Summer Internship Program
The Dotdash Meredith Summer Internship Program is a 9-week full-time, paid program that runs from June 9 to August 8, based out of our New York office. The intern program consists of hands-on learning, opportunities to create work that has an impact on the business, and workshops in preparing for post-college life (resume/interviewing), and fun events throughout the summer.

Eligibility Requirements:
Internships are available to students who will be Juniors and Seniors in Fall 2025 at an accredited college or university
You must be available to work full time for the entire 9 weeks of the program in the NY office, 3 days a week
You must have access to your own housing and transportation to/from the NY office
About the Team
The Transaction team is incredibly important to the overall DDM business in driving revenue, especially during key sale events such as Black Friday and Prime Day. Our small team works directly with the news and deals commerce teams from PEOPLE, Travel & Leisure, Food & Wine, Real Simple, and InStyle, planning and executing our biggest tentpole events, providing real-time analysis and content suggestions, as well as working on taxonomy projects, content modeling, and traffic analysis. The Transaction team intern will get hands-on experience working in an ecommerce role at a media company.
About the Role
The Growth & Content Strategy Intern will work with the Transaction team, preparing, planning, and executing one of the largest shopping days of the year, Amazon Prime Day. Our intern will have the opportunity to explore all aspects of the ecommerce business, as our small but mighty team works across all facets of the company, including writers, editors, promotional teams such as newsletter, the product team, and more. This role focuses on hands-on experience with five priority brands: PEOPLE, Travel & Leisure, InStyle, Food & Wine, and Real Simple.
Responsibilities include:
Helping with Amazon Prime Day 2025 preparation, planning, and execution
Diving into News and Deals data analysis and reporting for major sales and everyday trends
Compiling and presenting monthly recaps to the individual brand teams to provide actionable next steps for teams
Reviewing article drafts to ensure best SEO, social, and other key optimizations
Pulling and analyzing data, such as top earners, Google Discover winners, and Apple News clicks, in Looker to share with teams
Gathering trends, including celebrity style insights, seasonal changes, social trends from Pinterest and Instagram, and more
About You
Candidates should be:
An excellent communicator, with great time management and organizational skills
Data driven; you love spotting trends and applying those insights into pitching great content
A multitasker who’s extremely organized; you can handle many projects at once with various deadlines with ease
Open to new challenges and a self starter who can take direction and run with it, asking questions up front to ensure you’re able to complete the task successfully
Passionate to learn; the commerce landscape continues to evolve and grow in new ways, and we want you to be excited to come on this journey!
Familiar with the commerce shopping landscape and comfortable using social platforms
Experience with Excel/Google Sheets, as well as formulas, are a plus, but not required
