Manufacturing Associate-1st shift- Wells

Description

The Manufacturing Associate’s focus is to perform a variety of tasks on a belt-driven candle manufacturing line. Candles and melts are produced and packaged each day utilizing production equipment. Procedures are followed for accuracy and quality. Solid understanding of good manufacturing practices and strict adherence to quality standards are required.

  JOB SUMMARY

· Performing visual inspections to identify imperfections on candles

· Applying clips to candle wicks

· Trimming wicks to appropriate length 

· Placing lids on candles

· Cleaning and packing candles for shipping with appropriate labels

· Restocking candle materials

· Palletizing 

· Completing special projects 

Requirements

EXPECTATIONS

· Reliable and dependable attendance is required

· Prior fast-paced manufacturing experience preferred

· Good basic math skills

· Strong verbal communication skills

· Demonstrated attention to detail

· Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis and to stand for several hours at a time 

· Must be able to bend, reach, squat, kneel, climb, and twist repetitively 

· Ability to work in a warm environment with strong scents
