This position is a full time, day shift that is 6AM To 6:30PM. It also includes a weekend and holiday rotation with the team. You will working with and supporting the Medical Surgical, Outpatient Observation, and PCU staff at out Banner University South Tucson campus.

Banner - University Medical Center South is a comprehensive academic medical center that includes an Emergency department, a state-designated trauma center and a Behavioral Health Pavilion. We are an Arizona Department of Health Services-accredited Cardiac Receiving Center and a Nurses Improving Care for Health system Elders-designated senior-friendly hospital. The hospital is staffed by physicians who are full-time faculty of the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Tucson and is managed by Banner Health under an operating agreement with Pima County. Our specialty services include inpatient and outpatient behavioral health, treatment and education for diabetes, innovative geriatrics care and comprehensive orthopedics.

POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for supporting nurse leadership in the planning, development and execution of facility education for clinicians, supporting the on-boarding and orientation of newly hired registered nurses, career development and effective internal clinical communications. This role performs under the guidance and direction of the chief nursing officer or designee and serves as a liaison between all disciplines by effectively communicating, educating and problem solving. This position proactively supports the quality and continuity of services throughout the healthcare systems and assists in resolution of systems issues and enforces facility/unit/department policy/procedures and standards of care. This position coordinates oversight of quality, risk management, safety and nursing standards and is a role model and resource person for providing quality patient care and maintaining clinical competency within the facility/unit/department; collaborates with Clinical Education to coordinate and support the on-boarding and precepting of newly hired nurses (this includes supporting programs and communication within the facility); develops and coordinates system and facility initiatives to promote clinical career development and la
