Job Description

To provide leadership and direct the game management environment and ticketing operations for all home SMSU Athletics events for all Mustang sports. Provide leadership, organization, customer service and generate revenue through hosting Minnesota State High School League Playoff contests and ticket sales.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Sports Management or a related field plus one year of professional experience in sports-related field OR Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Management or a related field plus two years of professional experience in sport-related field. Related fields could include marketing, sports management, game and/or event operations, athletic administration, ticket sales/advertising, etc.

Preferred Qualification 

• Experience and knowledge in Intercollegiate Athletics to understand the areas of game management, scheduling, ticketing, fund raising, and special events. 

• Knowledge and understanding of NCAA, NSIC and Minnesota State System policies and procedures in order to work with compliance, fiscal responsibilities, donor relations, and equity in athletics issues.

• Possess computer skills for word processing, database and spreadsheets.

• Demonstrated abilities to supervise and manage staff.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as interpersonal and organizational skills.

Monday - Friday; 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

On-call duty may be required for other campus scheduled events.
