The Open Communications Systems (OCS) organization within Collins Aerospace, is designing communications systems for Next Generation technologies across a wide variety of platform
We are hiring a Senior Electrical Engineer to work onsite in Fort Wayne, IN.
What You Will Do:
Design, analysis, simulation, test, and integration of digital or power CCAs for modern communication systems
Circuit card design including hardware designs with processors, FPGAs, memory, and industry interfaces, such as PCIe, Ethernet, I2C, SPI, and UART
Design and implement test plans to ensure compliance to requirements and specifications
Work with third party vendors for design and component selection
Work closely with different engineering disciplines
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
Proficient in Schematic Design - Parts selection, Schematic capture, Library management, and Parts Lists creation
Proficient with EE Design Tools: MATLAB, SIMULINK, Keysight ADS, and Mentor Graphics
Experience in Artwork (ODB++) validation, reviewing, and approving PWB/CCA drawing sets
Proven ability to take a design concept from the block diagram or requirements level and develop a complete hardware design and verifying via test and integration
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Prefer:
Strong familiarity with electronics; RF, Digital or High Power as well as physical and mechanical aspects of interfacing applications.
Experience developing, editing, and improving preventative maintenance, and calibration procedures, using intuitive techniques and methodologies
Able to balance multiple assignments simultaneously
