Key Responsibilities:

 

• We are seeking an experienced Test Engineer to join our team for a project involving SQL Server Analysis Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for testing and validating data warehousing solutions, writing MDX queries, and tuning MDX queries. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SQL Server Analysis Services, with experience in data warehousing, MDX, and query optimization.
• Develop and execute test plans and test cases for SQL Server Analysis Services data warehousing solutions
• Create and execute MDX queries to validate data and ensure accuracy of results
• Optimize MDX queries for performance, including identifying and resolving bottlenecks and improving query execution times
• Collaborate with developers and other stakeholders to identify and resolve issues and ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions
• Develop and maintain documentation related to test plans, test cases, and test results
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of best practices for SQL Server Analysis Services testing and optimization
• Keep up-to-date with the latest SQL Server Analysis Services technologies and trends

 

What you'll need to succeed

 

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in SQL Server Analysis Services testing and optimization
• Strong experience in data warehousing, including ETL processes, dimensional modeling, and data integration
• Expertise in writing and tuning MDX queries
• Strong experience in query optimization and performance tuning
• Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) is a plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
