Job Summary

Fresh & Ready Food Group is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Production Manager to lead operations at our food manufacturing facility. As the Site Leader, you’ll be responsible for building operational talent, addressing performance challenges, and implementing lean manufacturing practices that drive sustainable improvements in safety, productivity, quality, on-time delivery, and inventory management. This is a high-impact leadership role with direct oversight of a large-scale, multi-shift production team.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

• Oversee daily operations of the Production Department to ensure 100% order fill rate and spec accuracy
• Lead a team of 5 salaried Production Managers and 200+ hourly employees across 3 shifts
• Develop and maintain production schedules while managing labor within budget
• Ensure accurate recordkeeping for training, sanitation, food safety, and payroll
• Oversee preventative and general maintenance of production equipment
• Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with safety reporting standards

Food Production Oversight

• Direct staging and assembly of food items to meet Fresh & Ready specifications
• Oversee prep, kitchen production, and food presentation standards
• Verify scale measurements, product labeling, and lot code accuracy

Inventory & Cost Control

• Manage cooler/freezer product rotation and enforce FIFO practices
• Support inventory counts and vendor ordering processes
• Monitor food cost and assist in credit processing and fulfillment

Sanitation & Compliance

• Ensure sanitation protocols are followed and equipment is properly maintained
• Develop and implement SOPs for sanitation and GMP compliance
• Oversee cleanliness of food prep areas, utensils, and equipment

Financial & Performance Management

• Own the financial performance of the site, including labor, food cost, and margin targets
• Assist in annual budget planning and lead monthly operational reviews with corporate leadership
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement process improvements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or related field
• 5–10 years of leadership experience in food manufacturing
• Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles
• Proven track record of increasing responsibility and operational success
