The Work You Will Do:
The (OPS) Government Operations Consultant III, position is in the Division of Community Development, Bureau of Small Cities and Rural Communities. This is a highly responsible contract management position in the Rural Infrastructure Fund (RIF) program. Plan, facilitate, and assist in the negotiation of agreement changes, amendments, coordinate the development of cost and price analysis, conduct agreement and file post-audits and closeout, complete the agreement checklists, facilitate findings of fact and resolve agreement disputes. Update tracking systems and maintain agreement logs in accordance with the RIF program and department policy and procedures and to ensure compliance with applicable statutory requirements.

The Rural Infrastructure Fund (RIF) facilitates planning, preparing, and financing of infrastructure projects in rural communities to encourage job creation, capital investment and the strengthening and diversification of rural economies. RIF funds are often used by rural communities as a match for other infrastructure funding programs, such as those offered by the Small Cities Community Development Block Grant, United States Department of Agriculture - Rural Development, and the United States Department of Commerce - Economic Development Administration.
