T-Registered Nurse| PACU

NCG Associates, a leading healthcare staffing company, is currently seeking dedicated and experienced Registered Nurses to join our team in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). As a PACU RN at NCG Associates, you will play a crucial role in the recovery and post-operative care of patients.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients' vital signs and assess their post-anesthetic status
• Administer medications and interventions as needed for pain management and other post-operative needs
• Collaborate with the surgical team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Assist in the safe transfer of patients to and from the PACU
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding post-operative care and home recovery
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely
• Maintain a clean and safe environment in the PACU
• Stay up-to-date with current best practices in PACU nursing care
• Effectively communicate and collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members

Requirements

• Valid and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the state of practice
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program
• Minimum 1 year of PACU and Pre Op Experience
• Strong knowledge of post-anesthesia recovery principles and practices
• Expertise in assessing and managing patients' pain
• Current ACLS certification
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Proficiency in using electronic medical records and other relevant healthcare software

Pay Rate: $1,710-$1,910 Weekly

Desired Start Date: ASAP 

Length of Assignment: 13 weeks 

Hours per Week: 40 

Shift time: Days 

Schedule Details: 4 -10 hour shifts, varied start times, earliest 0600 

On-Call Requirements: 8 shifts per month rotating weekends and holidays.

Weekend Requirement: When on-call 

Holiday Requirement: When on-call 

Floating requirement: N/A 

License /Certification: KS RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS 

Experience required: Minimum 1 year of PACU and Pre Op Experience
