Key Responsibilities Assistant Attorney General - SECURE The Utah Attorney General's Office has a vacancy for an Assistant Attorney General to work in the Justice Division. The selected applicant will work in the SECURE Strike Force section. The human trafficking prosecutor works with the SECURE strike force to provide support to investigators and to prosecute human labor and sex trafficking, sex exploitation, racketeering and identity fraud cases throughout the state of Utah. This position requires excellent written and oral advocacy skills and the ability to try both jury and bench trials of a complicated nature. Preference will be given to candidates with criminal prosecution experience, an interest in criminal law, and experience in preparing for and trying complex criminal cases. The candidate must be a member in good standing with the Utah State Bar upon application. Travel may be required as the employee will need to represent the State in criminal trials and other legal proceedings throughout the State. This position has the potential for future cross-deputization as a SAUSA. Responsibilities Prepare cases by conducting legal research and gathering evidence.
