Position Description:

The Eating Anxiety and Treatment laboratory in the Department of Psychology at the University of Louisville is seeking full-time or part-time Lab Assistants. The position primarily involves assisting with clinical and non-clinical studies centered around the topic of eating disorders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:

• Communicate with clinic research sites, and participants over email, in person, and over the phone;

• Assist with project design and organization,

• Assist with data collection in the lab, online, and in the clinic,

• Assist with grant applications, and entering and coding data,

• Supervise undergraduate and graduate assistants,

• Maintain databases,

• General organizational activities.

Preferred Qualifications

Interest in psychological research and experiences working with clinical populations, strong technical and computer skills, and a commitment of at least 2 year (extendable depending on fit and availability of funding). We are especially interested in applicants who are sociable, self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently and as part of a team.

Competencies

Requires very good competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SPSS, Redcap, as well as the ability to communicate with clinical and non-clinical populations. Additionally, this position requires good competency in following detailed research protocols to collect data and supervise undergraduate and graduate research assistants.

Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
