Job Description

The Senior Program Manager’s role is intricately involved in the development and deployment of Motorola Solutions’ public safety and command center software portfolio. The successful candidate will possess the skills necessary to take charge of overseeing the design, development, and technical implementation of software products and services within complex public safety and government programs. Reporting through the Strategic Project Team's Director, you'll be at the forefront of delivering innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Manage the end-to-end project lifecycle, from initiation to delivery, while coordinating cross-functional technical teams.

  • Provide leadership and direction to Solution Specialists, Learning Services, Solutions Architects, and System Technologists.

  • Make critical technical decisions based on business trade-offs and risk analysis.

  • Ensure agile delivery of customer value with a focus on API technologies, software architecture, and cloud deployment.

  • Drive system integration and deployment, adhering to software deployment methodologies and quality processes.

  • Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, business analysts, and application specialists, reporting project progress and risks to senior management.

  • Utilize project management methodologies to maximize project effectiveness.

  • Work alongside the Project Director to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.

  • Contribute to the development of business plans and strategies to seize business opportunities.
     

Skills and Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of API technologies, Software Architecture and Design, System Integration, and Cloud Deployment.

  • Hands-on experience in system integration and deployment.

  • Proficiency in Agile project management.

  • Familiarity with software deployment methodologies and quality processes.

  • Dedication to delivering end-to-end solutions with exceptional quality.

  • Preferred project management qualifications such as PMP or Professional Engineer (PE) certification.

  • Self-motivated team player capable of working effectively with general guidance.

This position is subject to working in high security areas governed by the US Department of Justice's "Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy" and therefore requires successfully passing a more stringent fingerprint background check administered by Motorola Solutions Inc. customers

Note: This position is a remote position and candidates can be located anywhere in the US. However, due to travel and the working schedule, it is extremely preferred that candidates reside in the Western United States (California preferred).

Target Base Salary Range: $110,000 - $120,000 USD
