Administration and Planning | WOSU Public Media-JMJob Description: The Digital Media & Marketing Intern at WOSU Public Media offers high school students a unique opportunity to explore careers in digital communications, marketing, and public media. Interns will support the creation and distribution of engaging educational content across platforms like social media, websites, and community outreach campaigns. They will use tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere) and Microsoft Office to assist with graphic design, digital publishing, and marketing tasks. Interns will also gain real-world experience by shadowing professionals in departments such as radio, engineering, and digital services, while building essential skills in collaboration, problem-solving, and audience engagement.
Role and Responsibilities
● Collaborate to research, plan, and produce digital stories
● Use Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, and Illustrator to edit and design media for various platforms
● Create and manage content across social media platforms
● Assist with weekly studio broadcasts: operate cameras, teleprompters, and help with set set-up and breakdown
● Coordinate and implement content updates for web and social media channels
● Analyze audience engagement to help shape content strategy
● Shadow professionals in radio and TV engineering and digital departments to gain exposure to broader operations
● Use Microsoft Office, email, and other digital tools for business and communication tasks
● Work in collaboration with others to meet deadlines and solve creative challenges
● Perform additional job-related duties as assigned by the manager
Desired Skills
● Experience using Adobe Premiere for video editing
● Familiarity with graphic design tools like Photoshop and Illustrator
● Comfortable using social media platforms and understanding content trends
● Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Additional Information:
The pay rate is $13.00 per hour
Availability: 15 hours per week during the school year with a required shift on Fridays from 1:00–5:00 PM. Flexible scheduling Monday–Friday.
