Test Engineer Intern

Winnebago Industries, Inc. a leading manufacturer of RVs and boats, is seeking a Test Engineering Intern to join our Advanced Technology Group (ATG) in Savage, MN. The Advanced Technology Group focuses on new and emerging technologies and the application of the technologies across the various business units of Winnebago Industries. 

In the role you will be responsible for executing a wide variety of tests on mechanical or electrical components, sub-assemblies, or systems to ensure reliability and functionality of our technology offerings. 

Here what we want you to do:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test objectives, requirements, and success criteria
• Works with test technicians to conduct testing to evaluate the performance, durability, or reliability of components and systems
• Analyzes test data to identify trends, deviations, and potential areas for improvement
• Generate detailed test reports, summarizing findings, and recommendations for further development
• Research relevant test and design standards for application specific testing
• Assists in lab instrumentation research and selection

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE 

• Entering Junior or Senior year in pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, aerospace, software, or related engineering field
• Experience in problem solving, analytical thinking, and technical writing
• Strong desire to learn and be hands-on
• Familiarity with sensors, lab instrumentation, and data acquisition systems
• Effective collaboration and communication abilities 

This position will be in person at the Winnebago Industries Innovation Center located in Savage, MN

Primary work environment will be a combination of office, laboratory, and workshop

Occasional travel may be required to collect field data or visit the business units

Hourly rate of $25/per hour

The internship is 10 weeks from June 3rd - August 9th
