This is a fully remote position only available in Peru, Colombia, Honduras, Costa Rica, Mexico, Argentina, El Salvador, Guatemala, Nicaragua, and the Dominican Republic.

We are seeking a QA Manager to join our team. In this role, Your mission as a Manager - Quality Assurance is to drive the overall QA strategy and initiatives for Energage following industry-standard best practices. You will proactively identify opportunities to improve reliability and stability across our applications.

 

Responsibilities:

● Own design, delivery, testing, and quality for all work performed by the QA team, defining what quality looks like for all other teams

● Manage and mentor the QA team, building leaders within the team and functional area

● Active participation in standard scrum-based, agile activities (stand-up, backlog grooming, sprint planning and retrospectives, etc.)

● Lead by example and inspire others with an emphasis on broad, organization-wide initiatives

��� Clearly communicate technical issues and contribute ideas to the overall technical vision of the engineering organization

● Ensure the QA team is operating efficiently and following established process

● Oversee and assist with manual testing effort across the team

● Oversee test automation strategy and effort across the team

● Oversee and contribute to documentation efforts for the benefit of QA and Development teams

● Maintain a backlog of QA work items

● Maintain team metrics and KPIs

● Review development work to identify QA areas of focus

● Oversee, improve, and create QA related process such as the UAT (User Acceptance Testing) process 

 

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience in Quality Assurance

● 2+ years of experience as a Quality Assurance Lead

● Experience working with test automation leveraging one or more of the following: Playwright, Cypress, Jest, CodeceptJS, Javascript

● Experience working with DevOps and CI/CD

● Manual testing background with programming skills

● The ability to effectively communicate technical issues to a non-technical audience, engage in productive dialog involving multiple viewpoints or conflicting perspectives.

● Must be a self-starter who is highly-organized; detail-oriented, hands-on, self-motivated, results-oriented and a team-player

● A demonstrated history of motivating and empowering team members to achieve a higher level of performance

● Experience working with distributed teams

• Azure DevOps experience
