About the role

Meta is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Technical Operations Team within our data center Design Engineering and Construction (DEC) Organization as a Business Intelligence Lead. Our data centers are the foundation upon which our rapidly scaling infrastructure efficiently operates and upon which our innovative services are delivered. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data-driven insights, visualization, and reporting, with a focus on driving business outcomes of a large scale capital investment portfolio. They will focus on partnering with business stakeholders to establish needs and requirements then working collaboratively with our data scientists, data engineers, and systems architectures to achieve those needs.DEC Business Intelligence Lead Responsibilities
  • Leverage expertise to drive insights and actions that improve organizational outcomes through a thorough understanding of business processes, available datasets, data analytics and visual representation.
  • Ensure accuracy and availability of business critical reports and dashboards through alignment with business teams and partnership with technical counterparts to implement robust solutions.
  • Partner with business functions to establish business process clarity and define, develop, test, publish, maintain & retire required reporting and visualizations.
  • Collaborate with xFN teams and technical counterparts to architect strong data foundations.
  • Align teams on priorities and develop short and long-term roadmaps to further culture of leveraging data to drive insight and action.
  • Manage 3rd party services across numerous vendors to execute recurring workflows, triage and resolve open issues, and build out our analytics ecosystem.
  • Develop plan to enable organization embedment of self-service analytics.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in business intelligence and analytics, and identify opportunities to incorporate them into the organization.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience working in Business Intelligence and/or Data Analytics.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Construction Management, or equivalent degree.
  • Experience in large-scale capital investment programs or financial analytics programs.
  • Experience leveraging data analysis tools including visualization and cross-tab (e.g.,Tableau) and modern data management tools (e.g., Data Bricks, Snowflake, Presto, etc.) or other equivalents
  • Functional knowledge of SQL.
  • Experienced managing technical resources efficiently and effectively to execute large volume of work with internal teams and/or outsourced services.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, with experience in conveying complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Oracle Primavera Suite and Autodesk Construction Cloud Suite.
  • Experience with project management and ticketing tools such as Smartsheets, Jira, Asana or equivalent.
  • Experience with a variety of software development project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, etc.).
  • Experience in ETL and data pipelining technologies (Informatica, Airflow, Talend, etc).
  • Strong understanding of data modeling and data warehousing concepts.
