Job Description

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for TTOUR RAP Officer, Internal Medicine, Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine [R0152858]

ROLE of the POSITION

The Tribe, Tribal Organization, and Underserved Rural Communities Outreach (TRO) Officer provides management oversight to community providers that are providing training under the Nevada Interprofessional Healthy Aging Network (NIHAN) Program for the grant training programs. Community providers include internal University partners such as the Office of Sponsored Programs, Purchasing and Contracts, Accounts Payable, Travel and Expenses, and Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine Human Resources, Finance, and Department of Internal Medicine; and external partners such as William Bee Ririe Rural Hospital and Clinics, University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine, Touro University Nevada, Mission Pines Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, academic organizations, rural health partners, critical access hospitals, rural health clinics, long-term care facilities, senior centers, school districts, faith-based organizations, Tribal partners, Tribal Organizations, underserved rural community partners, and other local organizations that support geriatric workforce development and community-based training.

The TRO Officer will identify, train, and evaluate urban and rural providers under the Tribe, Tribal Organization and Underserved Rural Communities (TTOUR) program, which provides geriatric training programs for health care providers and caregivers through clinical rotations with academic organizations. The TRO Officer will manage the Registered Apprenticeship Program (RAP), which provides training to the nursing care workforce within long-term care facilities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). Five (5) years of related experience and one (1) yea
