Senior Risk Assessment Specialist

Responsibilities:

• Identify, analyze, and mitigate risks related to operational processes and deliverables to CMS
• Assess operational and reputational risks, develop strategies for CMS compliance, and collaborate on risk protocols, monitoring effectiveness and providing regular reports to stakeholders
• Support the Quality Assurance Lead in implementation of risk management frameworks, policies, and procedures
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance team in identifying areas of risks and recommend solutions
• Support Quality Assurance Lead in determination of the risks and issues’ appropriate response (i.e., mitigation strategy, contingency plan)
• Collaborate with Task Leads to gather relevant data for risk analysis and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
• Prepare detailed risk reports and present findings to project leadership, including recommendations for mitigation or remediation
• Proactively recommend solutions for addressing risks before they become issues
• Support Quality Assurance Lead in monitoring and maintaining the Risk and Issue log
• Evaluate each identified risk in terms of its likelihood and impact on overall project goals and task-level objectives
• Support other tasks as needed

• Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of relevant professional experience, or
• Associates degree plus 8 years of relevant professional experience, or
• High school diploma plus 9 years of relevant professional experience
• 5 years of demonstrated knowledge and experience in risk assessment, internal audit, compliance, or related role
• Understanding of risk assessment methodologies and tools
• Knowledge of federal healthcare regulations, with the most qualified candidates having experience with regulations related to pharmaceutical pricing and compliance with government programs
• Knowledge of the Inflation Reduction Act provisions related to drug pricing and CMS program implementation processes preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
