Job Summary:
The Test Equipment Engineering (TEE) directorate is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer who can lead a section of Electrical Engineer professionals responsible for all elements of Electrical Engineering Design through all lifecycles to include but not limited to development, transition to production, design verification, qualification, and Manufacturing Acceptance of final product going to the customer.

What You Will Do:
You will supervise and lead a team of approximately 12-18 members. You will establish meaningful and measurable goals and communicate effectively with your team to ensure alignment with the department and directorate. You will conduct formal and informal performance reviews and career development discussions with team members. You will be expected to lead by example while adhering to and ensuring alignment with our Values and Behaviors: Trust, Respect, Collaboration, Innovation, and Accountability. The Section Lead role is anticipated to be approximately 15% of the work week, with the remainder of the work week charged to program contracts, within the TEE organization.
As a part of this role, you will collaborate with multi-discipline teams in the operation, testing, and troubleshooting of systems. You will provide independent health checks by evaluating program’s metrics. You will interact with Program Managers, Chief Engineers, Cross Product Team/Directorate Leads, as well as other functional management to drive results to achieve program and business unit objectives. You will support Test Equipment Engineering team's hiring goals as well as lead the onboarding of new section personnel.
This role will require the ability to work on-site in Tucson, AZ.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a Bachelor’s in science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
Minimum of Ten (10) or more years of professional engineering design and/or delivery experience
Experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) or similar budget tracking system
