Reviews all requisitions for missing information. Follows up with facility or provider if unable to obtain all information required for test performance. Checks appropriate collection, sorting and storage areas in the facilities for specimens to ensure specimens are not missed and may transport/distribute these specimens to the laboratory as needed. Monitors information in Collection List and Unreceived Specimen Report. Completes Collection List with accurate time of collection and phlebotomist code.MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS High School Diploma or equivalent 1-3 years prior experience preferred. Phlebotomy training includes a minimum of 100 hours rotation within an inpatient hospital setting/physician office. (and usually 150 successful sticks)Work Shift
