Job Summary
Responsibilities
- Uses electronic and print resources to develop and synthesize information on prospects to produce clear profiles including background, career, financial capacity, philanthropic interests, and nature of their relationship to the University and Chicago Booth.
- Identifies new prospects in order to grow the Chicago Booth prospect pool and participate in strategic prospect identification projects.
- Assists in building out Midwest prospect pool to enhance major gifts portfolios. Acts as team expert on Midwest prospects and distribution of leads to frontline staff.
- Assists in the creation, maintenance, and refreshing of portfolios for regionally aligned frontline staff.
- Leads the creation and systematization of prospect pools for Booth centers, initiatives with a focus on Rustandy, CAAI, Stigler, Davis, Kilts, Roman Family Center for Decision Research, and Healthcare, and other priorities as needed. Collaborates with gift officers to clarify potential criteria for prospect pool, and creates processes and support documentation for future clarification of pool makeup. Provides data deliverables as needed in order to serve project goals.
- Manages the Top Prospect List project in conjunction with the Reunions team. Develops a list of top prospects that are in their reunion years, creates timelines, understands and manages expectations from project partners, pulls information from Salesforce, performs research, communicates about project status and findings, and delivers the final list of tiered top prospects in reunion years. Makes process improvements based on feedback from Reunion team members as well as system and process needs.
- Demonstrates an understanding of the data available in the University’s constituent database, how to maintain prospect research data, the data process and structures and how to report on data for Prospect Research projects.
- Participates in training of new Advancement staff on working with Prospect Research. Makes recommendations on how training can be refined based on personal observations.
