Product Application Engineer

The Product Application Engineer will be involved in the identification, development, validation, and launch of new products and applications. This role will work with internal partner such as Product Management, Research & Development, Sales, and Marketing. This role will assist in delivering Additive Manufacturing Applications.

 

What you will be doing:

Application Development

• Works directly with customers to understand application requirements and needs to deliver technology solutions (Voice of Customers VOC)
• Support application development from ideation through technical feasibility, validation, and documentation
• Create, evaluate, and implement new concepts, improve products and process that will impact the company’s revenue and competitive position in the market
• Contributes to the development of intellectual property including trade secrets, patents and invention disclosures

 

Product Development

• Participates in regular communication with cross-functional engineering teams, materials development, manufacturing, customer support, purchasing, marketing, and sales to maintain an understanding of project requirements and specifications
• Assists other engineers with development of new applications, alpha testing, beta programs or any other related product development initiatives
• Supporting Product Life Cycle Management

 

Product Launch & Application Support

• Design of sample parts for new products, represent customers use of the product
• Develop technical content to support marketing and sales enablement
• Write white paper or technical briefs for new and existing products on the platform
• Supports activities at technical conferences, trade shows, customer visits and sales initiatives
• Initiatives to reduce barriers to adoption and increase utilization for additive manufacturing

 

Must have for this role:

• Bachelor’s in engineering or related discipline with a minimum 2 years experience; or an advance degree without experience.
• 2+ years engineering experience
• 2+ years experience CAD software

Nice to have:

• Previous experience with 3D printers
