In NC, we operate three pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities that are responsible for fulfilling different steps in our injectable and oral treatment supply chains.  Our legacy Injectable Finished Products (IFP) facility in Clayton, NC is a 457,000 square foot aseptic "fill and finish" site that is responsible for producing innovative, injectable diabetes and obesity treatments. The Position

Developing the capabilities of the supply chain organization for the expansion project to provide sustainable processes. Identifying & driving supply chain related initiatives to ensure long-term success. Benchmark, & where applicable, develop processes using cLEAN improvement methodology.

 

Support the different strategic development of the site and optimize the supply chain process within continuous improvement. Support the scenario analysis and process implementation from the company in regards of the site expansion program.

Essential Functions

  • Provide expert supply chain support to the project team, collaborating with the project organization as well as with business areas outside of site Clayton
  • Establish project supply chain processes including incoming materials, staging for production & shipping of finished goods
  • Manage,& execute definition and capacity analysis of material flow from receiving to release, in order to implement all new processes and flows driven by the expansion program
  • Have global understanding/skillset of supply chain to identify and solve issues coming from the supply chain expansion
  • Drive optimization of project supply chain in order to improve stakeholder satisfaction, both internally and externally
  • Develop and manage project KPIs to support supply chain activities as well as report development & presentations on KPI & project status
  • Drive optimization in alignment with site objectives ensuring follow up of KPIs to drive performance and actions
  • Trend, analyze & forecast on assigned KPI’s. Develop forecast models for material supply & production
  • Drive the strategy and coordinate activities of product transfers in relation to the expansion program
  • Continuously improve supply chain work processes through implementation of PS production system elements in accordance with the NNWay
  • Ensure the availability of raw materials & all other needed materials in the manufacturing processes & support processes
  • Establish production plans according to customer demands & production capacities
  • Other accountabilities, as assigned

 

Physical Requirements

Moves equipment &/or supplies weighing up to 33 pounds within the facility using various body positions. Ability to do close precision work with their hands. Must be able to remain in a stationary position (sitting and standing) 50% of the time. May required corrected vision to 20/25 based on role. May require color vision based on role. Occasionally ascends/descends a ladder. May be required to work at elevated heights. Occasionally works around odorous &/or hazardous materials.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, engineering, or related field required
  • MA/MS or equivalent, in relevant field preferred preferred
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience working with supply chain, production planning or improvement projects in related areas. Experience using forecast models to drive
