Electrical Engineer

Description

Technical resource to Depatie with primary responsibility to provide engineering capability to the controls engineering team. Responsible for all facets of the product development process, from concept to creation, particularly to coordinate the design effort including design, prototypes, and oversee hand off to production team or suppliers.

Requirements

Requirements 

• Interface with internal and external customers to understand and develop control systems requirements.
• Design industrial control panels and electrical systems using AutoCAD and other tools. Designs include schematic, mechanical layout, cable interconnects, load and heat calcs, bills of materials, etc.
• Resolve procurement issues with supply chain team.
• Assist and guide manufacturing personnel to avoid and resolve assembly issues.
• Utilize ERP system to understand work order and procurement status.
• Manage control panel design and build projects.
• Develop cost estimates for sales team .

Qualification and Education Requirements

• 3 or more years technical knowledge/experience with electrical control systems.
• 4-year college Technical degree in related Discipline or equivalent experience.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to collaborate and remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
• Working knowledge of electrical standards such as UL508A, NFPA79, and NFPA70.

Preferred Skills

• Electrical design with AutoCAD or AutoCAD Electrical.
• Microsoft office suite, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Knowledge and experience with electrical hand tools, crimping, and soldering.
