This role is part of the Collins Aerospace Operations Technology & Advancement Program Management organization. The Senior Program Manager will sit at any one of our Collins locations, leading cross-functional initiatives that modernize operations through Industry 4.0, advanced manufacturing technologies, digital solutions, and data-driven decision-making. In this role, you will partner across Collins and broader RTX businesses to advance operational awareness, drive productivity, and deliver measurable cost savings through process improvements and technology‑enabled transformation while being responsible for project scope, schedule, cost, and customer satisfaction.
The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with experience in manufacturing environments, enthusiasm for advancing Collins’ Operations capabilities, and a demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
What You Will Do:
Lead cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with program and organizational objectives.
Provide oversight for projects led by other Program Managers to ensure consistency and alignment.
Ensure program and project benefits are realized across Collins operations.
Communicate effectively with operations and executive leadership, providing clarity on priorities, risks, and progress.
Lead all program phases from inception through completion, including customer interface and requirements alignment.
Use data analytics to generate insights, guide strategic decision making, and strengthen operational awareness.
Drive productivity improvements that lead to quantifiable cost savings and enhanced operational performance.
Influence and lead change across a matrixed organization, building consensus and accelerating adoption of new technologies.
Operate in alignment with the RLPM framework to ensure disciplined program execution, risk management, and governance.
Serve as a site liaison for key operational and project activities.
Develop and maintain program plans, KPIs, dashboards, and reporting cadences that support leadership visibility and decision making.
Travel up to 25%, including potential extended assignments for key business activities.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience
Qualifications We Prefer:
Background in manufacturing support within a high‑mix factory environment.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively both vertically and horizontally across a large organization.
Strong communication skills with experience presenting to executive stakeholders and leading cross‑functional decision forums.
Proven capability to take initiative, provide direction, and drive operations to completion.
Experience leading challenging programs, navigating adversity, and driving alignment in complex or ambiguous situations.
