Job Overview: The Senior Manager, Business Operations will lead critical areas of annual operating planning, department budget management, workforce planning, and strategic event coordination. The role requires a strategic thinker with excellent financial acumen, an understanding of talent management, and the ability to facilitate high-level planning and execution of organizational events. This position involves collaboration with executive and departmental leaders to ensure that operational activities align with the company's financial resources and strategic goals.
What you get to do in this role
Annual Operating Planning:
- Lead the development and implementation of the annual operating plan.
- Engage with executive and departmental leaders to identify and consolidate budget requirements for the upcoming fiscal year.
- Evaluate and prioritize company-wide initiatives, ensuring alignment with both financial resources and strategic objectives.
- Guide cross-functional teams through trade-off discussions to achieve optimal resource allocation.
Department Budget Management:
- Oversee and ensure departmental budgets are managed within agreed parameters, providing regular variance analysis and financial reporting.
- Liaise with department leaders to oversee the end-to-end process of purchase orders, accruals, and forecasting, maintaining strict budget compliance.
- Offer strategic financial insights and formulate recommendations to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of departmental spending.
Workforce Planning:
- Direct comprehensive workforce planning strategies, including talent acquisition, movement, and development.
- Foster strong partnerships with HR and department leaders to align workforce management with organizational strategic objectives.
- Implement robust tracking systems for headcount, including the integration and placement of talent and interns.
Strategic Event Planning:
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee execution of major organizational events, including all-hands meetings, manager forums, and strategic planning sessions.
- Ensure all events are successfully executed, with a focus on enhancing company engagement, culture, and strategic alignment.
- Lead the follow-up and analysis of event outcomes to ensure continuous improvement and impact assessment.
