Woodruff Arts Center employees play an integral role in creating and supporting great art and education initiatives at the nation’s third largest arts center. Comprised of three Art Partners—Alliance Theatre, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and High Museum of Art—there’s a role for everyone at The Woodruff.

Summary: The High Museum of Art's Teen Leadership Council is a group of 15 high school students who share common interests in art and community engagement. Teen Leadership Council members engage with art and culture; develop workplace and team building skills; and learn about a range of professional options and career paths. The Teen Leadership Council gets behind-the-scenes access to the Museum, assists with public programming, plans for bi-annual Teen Takeovers, and learns about the Museum's exhibitions and collections. Teen Leadership Council is an intensive leadership development program and requires a year-long commitment from all members.
During the summer intensive, Teen Leadership Council members work on multiple projects while learning about the museum’s collections, careers, and programs. Throughout the school year, Teen Leadership Council members continue to assist in developing and implementing programming for audiences of all ages. While a part of the Teen Leadership Council, members meet with High Museum staff, arts professionals, and other teens.
Projects for the 2026-2027 Teen Team include:
Creating participatory art projects for UPS Second Sunday family days and Oasis, inspired by the museum’s permanent collection and special exhibitions, in collaboration with Learning and Civic Engagement staff.
Developing and facilitating two Teen Takeovers during Family Saturdays, focused on special exhibitions.
Assisting with Learning and Civic Engagement programs including Summer Camp, Toddler Thursdays, smARTbox, and more.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
