Job Summary:
The HR Manager at West’s Scottsdale Development Center (SDC) serves as a trusted HR advisor and partner to business functions such as R&D and Quality. In collaboration with HR leaders and Centers of Excellence (COEs), this role provides comprehensive support to senior leaders, managers, and employees at SDC, aligned with our defined HR strategy and principles. This position encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including onboarding, offboarding, legal and employee relations, training, culture and engagement, performance management, job description management, compensation, and benefits.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with business leaders to provide strategic and tactical HR support, delivering effective solutions aligned with organizational goals.
- Utilize expertise and experience in various HR areas, including performance management, onboarding, offboarding, compensation planning, training, benefits, and payroll. Offer advice, clarification, and follow-up on policies, procedures, benefits, and payroll-related matters for employees, managers, and global HR partners.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition to ensure staffing needs are met, reviewing and approving job descriptions, requisitions, and offers. Provide guidance to hiring managers on the offer process, conducting a comprehensive analysis and proposing competitive offers.
- Take the lead in managing and resolving employee relations concerns, conducting thorough and objective investigations when necessary.
- Stay up-to -date and ensure compliance with employment-related laws and regulations, providing timely updates to management as needed.
- Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) to provide guidance on performance management, development planning, and compensation planning.
- Manage and support the development planning process, working closely with employees and managers to identify growth opportunities and create individualized development plans.
- Drive talent management initiatives, including talent assessments, succession planning, and high-potential development programs, to ensure a strong pipeline of future leaders.
- Generate reports on hires, terminations, and performance appraisals, leveraging data insights and analytics to support business decisions that enhance organizational effectiveness.
- Continuously monitor employee sentiment and contribute to the development of programs and events that promote motivation, engagement, and retention.
- Assist in the development and interpretation of HR policies, procedures, guidelines, and programs, ensuring alignment with the global West organization.
- Lead or participate in local, regional, and global HR projects as required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to meet evolving business needs.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's in Business, HR, or related field
- Experience: Minimum 8 years of relevant, progressive work experience
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Master’s degree or MBA preferred
- Able to be aware of all relevant SOPs as per company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description.
- Able to always comply with the company’s safety and quality policies.
