Job Description:

GDIT is seeking qualified candidates to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract.

Qualified candidates will provide integrated solutions supporting concurrent test, training, and operations (CTTO) within the Missile Defense Integration and Operations Center (MDIOC) mission execution platform and enterprise communications and information technology (IT) environment.

Be a part of the GDIT Team that solve some of the world's most complex technical challenges! General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking a Systems Engineer, Senior to support the IRES program in Huntsville, Alabama.

Duties Include: 

• Design and document infrastructure services and platforms, ensuring scalability and availability

• Contribute to architecture of on-prem, hybrid, and cloud infrastructure components

• Design resilient Active Directory and identity integration solutions (e.g., Azure AD, SSO, MFA)

• Lead infrastructure design in key initiatives such as disaster recovery, backup, and automation

• Align services to security, compliance, and ITIL frameworks

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree

• 5+ years in infrastructure or system engineering with strong design experience.

• Expertise in Windows Server, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), and identity services.

• Experience with hybrid cloud environments and automation tools (PowerShell, Terraform).

• Familiarity with ITSM processes, security controls, and monitoring platforms.

• Experience working in mid-to- large enterprise environments or regulated industries is an

  advantage.

• Applicable DOD 8140 and professional certifications

• Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate, JAMF 200/300, ITIL Foundation, CISSP, Security + or similar.

• Active SECRET clearance with eligibility for TOP SECRET/SCI

The likely salary range for this position is $108,979 - $147,443. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
