This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced surgical setting. <p> </p> <p>Full benefits at Prime Healthcare: https://www.primehealthcare.com/careers/benefits/  </p> <p> </p> <h2>Responsibilities</h2> <p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but is not limited to):</strong> </p> <ul> <li>Maintain strict sterile technique and ensure proper sterilization of instruments</li> <li>Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and anticipating needs</li> <li>Perform accurate counts of sponges, needles, and instruments pre- and post-procedure</li> <li>Support patient positioning and surgical site preparation (draping)</li> <li>Collaborate effectively with surgeons, nurses, and OR team members to ensure efficient workflow</li> <li>Prepare and organize surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment for procedures</li> </ul> <h2>Qualifications</h2> <p><strong>Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have: </strong></p> <ul> <li>Graduate of an ORT training program or on-the-job training with a minimum of 3 years' experience (surgical setting preferred).</li> <li>Experience in scrubbing minor and major procedures in various surgical specialties (i.e., General, Ortho, Urology, and GYN).</li> <li>Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.</li> <li>Two to three years of experience working in an operating room setting or Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) upon hire, and maintain current</li> <li>Must be proficient in the following specialties within 6 months: a. Gen b. Gyn c. Urol d. Vasc e. ENT/Plastics</li> <li>Must be proficient in one of the following specialties within 6 months: a. Major Vascular b. Ortho c.
