The Opportunity:
Avantor is looking for a dedicated customer-focused Senior Project Coordinator to optimize our Project Coordination team, delivering results against some of the most complex business and project initiatives.
You will have the opportunity to partner with internal and external stakeholders and customers executing and planning of projects within differing client environments. This role is a hybrid position requiring 2 days a week in the Dallas, TX office.
The team
Avantor’s Furniture Project Coordination team is part of our Furniture Operations business unit. This team coordinates and manages the execution and planning of each project from hand off from the Estimating department through each phase of furnishing a laboratory including overseeing the design-to-install process.
What we’re looking for
Education: High School education is required; Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
Experience: Minimum 3-5 years in project management experience is preferred
Collaboration Tool: Microsoft Office Suite experience preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
C4C, SAP, Salesforce experience highly preferred
Experience reading and comprehending AutoCAD or REVIT within Design and/or Construction industries

As the Senior Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing projects to full completion within budget, compliance and client satisfaction of complete project scope.
Coordinates assigned projects from receipt of the customer purchase order through obtaining appropriate approvals, timelines, and customer billing.
Orders all and expedites product, tracks ship dates and product invoices within customer purchase order.
Keeps the customer and sales team apprised of Project progress and status.
Maintains and upholds assigned vendor and carrier relationships as per project assignment.
Must possess the ability to remove roadblocks and act as a catalyst for project requirements from purchase order through completion.
Understand all aspects of project management.
Robust customer service and organizational skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills to interface with various partners.
Ability to communicate effectively on all levels.
Able to lead by example as well as by instruction.
Ability to handle a flexible work schedule.
Performs other duties as assigned.
ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL EFFORT (Under Typical Positions)
Typically works in an office environment with adequate lighting and ventilation and a normal range of temperature and noise level.
Work assignments are diversified. Examples of past precedent are used to resolve work problems. New alternatives may be developed to resolve problems.
A frequent volume of work and deadlines impose strain on routine basis.
Minimal physical effort is required. Work is mostly sedentary but does require walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting or carrying objects that typically weigh less than 10 lbs.
