Job Description
The FT Professional division is responsible for licensing the FT’s content to organizations around the world and offers information solutions ranging from group and enterprise subscriptions to customized data feeds. The Americas FT Professional team is diverse, multi-cultural and sociable which we believe makes for a great environment to work in. Within FT Professional you will have the opportunity to join and learn from a high performing sales team.
We are seeking a Client Relationship Executive who will be responsible for retaining and growing a bank of business within the Financial Services, Corporate, Professional Services & Non-profit sectors in the Americas region. This role would make an excellent entry level opportunity into account management for someone looking to progress into a Client Relationship Manager position.
What You Will Be Responsible For
- Be personally responsible for the achievement of a retention and upsell revenue target set at the start of each year.
- Identify upsell and retention risk accounts within a bank of business, to ensure renewal and upsell opportunities are maximized.
- Develop stakeholder relationships with senior management positions at client organizations
- Work with the appropriate support departments to ensure that customer issues are handled consistently and effectively, including technical issues relating to FT access e.g single sign on.
- Keep up to date with market & competitor developments and have the ability to speak with confidence on the FT’s value proposition for each sector.
- Document all sales activity in Salesforce, and maintain your business pipeline.
- Ensure dates of all renewals are well planned and work commences at least three months in advance. Such activity requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a large number of accounts.
- Where possible, to work closely with the customer success team to plan and prioritize activity and to support the goal of achieving upsell and retention.

- Excellent presentation and communication skills with the ability to ask good questions and speak with confidence about the value proposition

- A customer focused approach
Desirable Skills
- Previous experience in a customer facing role
- Good working knowledge of using CRM systems / Salesforce / the Google tools suite

Further Information
A reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role is $64,100-$67,275. To ensure pay fairness, the successful candidate will be offered a salary within the estimated salary range based on a number of considerations including but not limited to: skill set; experience and training; certifications; and other business and organisational needs. The disclosed range estimate is for our NYC office and has not been adjusted for other locations
