About the role

The Data Management Analyst is a crucial role responsible for managing reliability and improving the organization's trust in data. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing and carrying out data standards and policies. You will work closely with business partners to identify data quality issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a background in data management, quality assurance, and operational improvement in the insurance industry.

You will

  •  Implement policies and procedures across all departments within the company, ensuring compliance with relevant data privacy laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure the accuracy and completeness of metadata, including data dictionaries, data models, and other metadata artifacts.
  • Implement metadata management tools and technologies to support meta data creation, maintenance, and enforcement.
  • Collaborate with business partners to establish data quality metrics and ensure data quality is maintained throughout the data lifecycle.
  • Manage metadata management and data quality improvement initiatives, including root cause analysis and remediation planning.
  • Monitor and report on data quality metrics to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and risks.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to implement data management tools and technologies.

You have

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Data Science, Mathematics, or Computer Science.
  • 3+ years of experience in metadata management, data governance, or related field.
  • Collibra or similar metadata management and data quality tool experience.
  • Strong understanding of metadata management and data quality principles, include data profiling, data cleansing, and data validation.
  • Excellent communication and collaborator leadership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with business and technical teams.
  • Experience working with metadata management tools and technologies, such as metadata repositories, data modeling tools, and data cataloging tools.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements related to metadata management, such as GDPR and CPRA.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.

Location

This is a flexible position requiring 2 days per week in office, with preference given to candidates within commuting proximity to a Guardian office, which include:

  •  Bethlehem, PA
  • Hudson Yards, New York City
  • Holmdel, NJ

        Salary Range

        $91,260.00 - $149,925.00

        The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
