1. MAIN PURPOSE 

The Application Lab Manager oversees the Application Laboratory, managing its safety and operational aspects. This individual leads a team of engineers and technicians, ensuring work is completed safely, within agreed timelines, and to the required quality standards. Additionally, the Application Lab Manager is responsible for the laboratory's Opex and Capex budgets and will interface with the global Orbia lab community.

 

2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

• The application lab manager is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Application Laboratory, managing resources assets to ensure work is carried out safely and meets the agreed timeline and quality.

 

• As the on-site leader, with the support of the Safety specialist and of the whole team and will be responsible for implementing and maintaining safe working practices and initiatives in line with Orbia Laboratory Safety standard.
   
• The successful candidate will be responsible for the Portfolio of projects carried out in the application laboratory engaging with internal and external (customer and institutions) stakeholders. Excellent collaboration and communication skills will be essential.
   
• The Application Lab Manager will manage a pool of Engineers and technicians and will be responsible for their professional development and growth, and will be responsible for training programs for the Application Laboratory Lab.
   
• The successful candidate will have responsibility for the Opex and Capex budget for the Application Laboratory.
   
• The application lab manager will oversee the maintenance of both the site and test equipment as well as overseeing the creation, maintenance, and updating of Test Procedures, SOPs, and other process related documents.
