Duties, Responsibilities & Other
Essential Duties and Responsibilities*:
Oversees and manages the billing department’s processes and people. The Director will ensure accurate and timely invoicing, compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and continuous improvement of billing processes. The Director will play a crucial role in building and supporting competencies for the continuous improvement of KCI’s growth and development.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Oversee Billing Processes: Manage the billing department of 50 to ensure accurate and timely invoicing for all clients.
- Oversee Revenue Assurance: Identify possible inaccuracies ensuring prevention in lost or inaccurate revenue reporting during project setup and invoicing.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local billing regulations.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in billing operations.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop billing staff to achieve departmental goals.
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on billing activities to senior management and conduct monthly WIP and AR meetings with Service Line Leaders and Regional Executives.
- Audit and Reconciliation: Conduct regular audits and reconciliations of billing records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with Project Managers, Service Line leaders and other departments to align billing processes with organizational goals. Work closely with Project Managers and Finances staff to ensure Accounts Receivables are collected in a timely manner assigning Project Manager with the collections process, as necessary.
- Technology Integration: Evaluate and assist in continuously improving the billing software and system to improve operational efficiency.
Other Requirements
- Functions as the fiscal compliance lead for the organization. Works to maximize investment and resource allocation with cost efficiency for greatest net profit. Understands and applies compliance requirements and risk management. Develops solutions to maintain compliance while streamlining protocols.

Qualifications
Education and/or Skills Required:
- High School diploma required
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in billing operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership/management role.
