As a Data Governance Sr Data Analyst, you will provide data and insights that drive the development, execution and measurement of data management practices.  You will partner with Data Management Program Leads to identify areas of opportunity and develop governance programs that are data driven and technology enabled.  You’ll work with platform and product teams to gain a deep understanding of the practices and tools that impact data management at the micro and macro level.  You’ll enable a test and learn environment, using data to gain greater understanding and visibility to problems that impact data throughout its lifecycle.  You’ll design capabilities in partnership with product, technology, and compliance partners, and deliver the change management necessary to achieve sustainable results.

Qualifications:

  • 4-year degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Data Analytics or equivalent industry experience
  • 3+ years of data analytics and visualization experience; proficient in data analysis, SQL querying and manipulating large datasets
  • Experience working in an agile environment (e.g., user stories, iterative development, scrum teams, sprints)
  • Experienced in creating impactful data visualizations
  • Experience in driving change management necessary for delivering capabilities with broad organizational impact
  • Good understanding of database and data movement technologies and architecture

This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target’s needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member’s core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day.
