2nd Shift Superintendent - Production

Description

The Superintendent will have oversight of a processing area or areas and will report to the General Manager. The Operations Superintendent will be responsible for leading a team of Supervisors to achieve optimal plant performance while ensuring professional development of a highly engaged team to attain departmental KPI’s.

Role and Responsibilities

• Lead or participate in cross functional groups to support company initiatives. Safety, Quality, HR
• Assist in development of Standard Operating Procedures for HACCP, SQF, and other requirements including our Quality Control Programs
• Responsible to control and report downtime/yields partner with maintenance on operational efficiencies
• Responsible for overall product quality, food safety, and food defense.
• Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformities relating to product, process, or the quality system and recommend or provide solutions to correct any deficiencies.
• Implement short- and long-term production goals for the facility and be accountable for the planning and execution of all products.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

Preferred Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline from an accredited institution
• 5+ years’ experience within the food manufacturing industry
• 5+ years of supervisory and/or leadership experience
• Experience with portioning equipment, multivac, and grinders a plus
• Butcher experience
• Knowledge of manufacturing systems, including BOMs, routings, capacity, work orders, inventory control, and shop floor control
• Knowledge of GMP’s, SPC, HACCP, OSHA, and USDA regulations
• Bilingual; Spanish, is highly preferred but not required.
