Job Description

Eurofins Agroscience Services is searching for an Operations Support Technician to work with our Columbia, MO team.

Operations Support Technician responsibilities include:

  • Uses appropriate software applications to track receipt, storage, use, expiration, disposal, return, and/or archiving of test materials.
  • Maintains clean laboratory conditions, which include, cleaning glassware, emptying broken glassware containers, cleaning lab equipment, etc.
  • Maintains accurate and legible required documentation.
  • Performs routine tasks for calibration of balances.
  • Depending on area of assignment, performs routine homogenization on radioactive and non-radioactive matrices using various equipment including but not limited to the hammermill, Robot Coupes, miter saw, Straub Grinding Mill, etc.; may perform total radioactive residue analyses; may maintain, monitor, and otherwise assist with dilution equipment and preparation; handles regulated materials (quarantined matrices, DEA-controlled, and radiolabeled materials, etc.), potential biohazard materials, and toxic chemicals according to company procedures. 
  • Facilitates movement of samples between the various storage facilities
  • Maintains freezer area to GLP standards
  • Keep freezers organized and free of clutter/hazards
  • Train and maintain competency with equipment necessary to perform job functions which includes the bobcat/skid-steer
  • Works with relevant management to stay on top of storage needs and priorities
  • Performs other related duties as required and directed.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate would possess:

  • Computer and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
  • Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies

Basic Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with Excel and other Microsoft applications
  • Familiarity with lab environment preferred.
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Additional Information

Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00am- 4:30pm, with overtime as needed.  Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Columbia, MO are encouraged to apply.
