Seasonal Maintenance Worker

H.B. Fuller Company currently has an opening for a Seasonal Maintenance I (April through November) at its nature preserve located in the St. Paul suburb of Vadnais Heights.  

Job Duties:

Maintenance and upkeep of landscape areas, trails, buildings, structures, and plantings on the Corporate Campus and in the Nature Preserve including but not limited to: mowing and trimming of lawns; pruning of trees and shrubs; spreading and leveling of woodchips and topsoil; watering of new plantings and flower beds; pulling weeds; burning and chipping of brush; lifting and stacking of firewood; sweeping and cleaning of buildings; scraping and painting; changing oil and lubrication of equipment. 

This person will work under the guidance of the nature preserve staff.  This person must have a valid driver’s license, be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. and rarely lift and/or move up to 75 lbs. and have the ability to operate the tools and equipment listed below.

Tools and Equipment Used:

• Riding and push mowers

• Lopping shears

• String trimmer/brush cutter

• Hand pruner

• Hedge trimmer

• Hand saw

• Air compressor

• Pruning saw

• Generator

• Trail vehicle

• Power tools (drill, circular saw, etc.)

• Pick up truck

• Hand tools (various shovels, rakes, etc.)

• Pole saw

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age or older

• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. and may be asked to lift and/or move up to 75 lbs.

• Valid driver’s license

• Relevant experience preferred

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location.

The salary for this role is $20 - $21.50 per hour.
