Join our dynamic Marsh Data Services (MDS) team as a Data Product Owner, where you will play a pivotal role in delivering data capabilities and assets for analytics and operational use cases across the firm. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of business, operations, and technology, ensuring that our systems adhere to industry best practices while meeting complex business requirements. This is a hybrid role based in Chicago, IL or New York City, NY.

Data Product Owner, Claims

We will count on you to:

  • Own and manage a domain-specific program of work (claims) to deliver data capabilities and assets.

  • Drive solutions for data integration, standardization, governance, and curation from Marsh's global operational systems.

  • Establish feature development and use cases on Marsh’s new data and analytics platform, communicating progress to senior management and stakeholders.

  • Liaise with business and operations leadership to align on user needs, use cases, and priorities for the data and analytics platform buildout.

  • Collaborate with Regional Data Leaders to ensure global data use cases are understood and actioned, while sharing best practices across MMC businesses.

What you need to have:

  • 10+ years of experience in a data and analytics organization, ideally in a consultative role with a proven track record of solving data problems in various environments.

  • Extensive experience in architecting and implementing data and analytics solutions for complex, enterprise organizations, with domain expertise in data management and governance.

  • Strong understanding of data transformation and management concepts, with the ability to decompose use cases into actionable parts.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in traditional and software lifecycle tools (e.g., Office, Azure Dev Ops).

  • Proven stakeholder management skills, transforming high-level requirements into specific data quality initiatives.

  • Experience in a multi-cultural and multi-site environment, with a strong willingness to learn and engage deeply with new domains.

  • Familiarity with Agile methodology and understanding of the insurance and brokerage industry, particularly claims data challenges.

  • Creative problem-solving skills, with the ability to think outside the box to address complex issues.

  • Experience with Databricks, including medallion architecture and integration patterns, as well as knowledge of Data Governance concepts and approaches.
