Job Description

AECOM is excited to offer a standout opportunity for a driven, high-performing Project Manager to join our Morgantown, WV team. However, this project is located in Martinsburg, WV where you will do the actual work. We’re looking for a experienced construction management professional with strong contract and schedule management experience, exceptional leadership abilities, and the passion to drive successful delivery on complex, mission-critical projects.

The Project Manager’s responsibilities include:

  • Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of construction projects, confirming alignment with scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Manage construction contracts, confirming compliance with terms and conditions, and oversee contractor performance.
  • Conduct detailed reviews of submittals and schedules to confirm adherence to project specifications and timelines.
  • Evaluate and manage change orders, confirming proper documentation, cost analysis, and stakeholder communication.
  • Apply expertise in both new construction and renovation projects, addressing unique challenges and opportunities for each.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and project teams, fostering transparent and effective communication.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impacts on project delivery.
  • Confirm all construction activities meet or exceed established quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate project records and provide regular updates to stakeholders regarding progress, challenges, and outcomes.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • BA/BS in Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management + 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • 6 + years of experience in federal construction management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ​Preferred PE (Professional Engineer), RA (Registered Architect), and/or CCM (Certified Construction Manager).
  • Experience in managing federal construction contracts, submittal reviews, schedule reviews, change management, and program management.
  • Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience in leading multidisciplinary teams and drive project success
  • Experience with construction management software and tools.
  • In-depth understanding of construction industry standards, practices, and regulations.
  • Advanced degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Project Management.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and Value Engineering (VE).
  • Experience in labor standards enforcement and subcontracting plan adherence.
