Summary of Duties

As an employee working within the Child Welfare Program, you will have an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of Oregon’s most vulnerable children and families. Your dedication will help us achieve the Child Welfare Vision for Transformation that will support children and young adults to be safer, healthier, experience less trauma and achieve a greater well-being.  

As a Stability Support Specialist, you will: 

  • Transport Youth: Provide transportation for youth to school, appointments, and social activities.

  • Supervision of Youth: supervising youth in the office, community or in home.

  • Coordinate Activities: Coordinate activities that support youth engagement.

  • Gather Information: Collect and document information objectively from case providers, clients, family members, schools, and other relevant sources to support family time planning.

  • Ensure Safety and Well-being: Safeguard the safety and well-being of youth.

  • Oversee daily activities: Ensure the safety, hygiene, well-being, and care of youth, including school attendance and appointments.

  • Provide Behavioral Support: Offer redirection and guidance to youth as needed.
