Information Assurance Engineer III - Network Cyber Security Auditor

Global Dimensions is currently seeking an Information Assurance Engineer III - Network Cyber Security Auditor for a position in Metro Park, VA.

Support to INSCOM Enterprise Cybersecurity Services Support (ECSS) as Network Cybersecurity Compliance Auditor in instantiating enterprise approach for federated cybersecurity. ECSS seeks to continuously monitor cyber threats, vulnerabilities, risks to reduce threat surface, increase visibility into cybersecurity and improve the ability to respond to cybersecurity issues.

General Duties: Provides technical and programmatic Information Assurance Services to internal and external customers in support of network and information security systems. Facilitate security of networks configurations through the continuous monitoring to network scans to determine compliancy and report results.

Specific Duties: Design and conduct System Security audits as part of the INSCOM continuous monitoring program. Understand DOD and IC auditing requirements. Define metrics and response triggers based on industry standards and organization policy. Contribute to incident response policy/procedures. Review network scan results and determine if the appropriate response was triggered. Conducts security program audits and develops solutions to lessen identified risks. Provides information assurance support for the development and implementation of security architectures to meet new and evolving security requirements. Evaluates, develops, and enhances security requirements, policy, and tools. Aids in computer incident investigations. Leverage industry best practices and emerging capabilities. Enforces risk thresholds.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Requires TS/SCI Clearance (Poly preferred)
• Requires DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification. Must maintain in ATCTS.
• Education/Experience: BS with 10-12 years experience, MS with 8-10 years experience, PhD with 5-7 years experience. Will consider: HS with 11-14 years experience, BA/BS with 5-10 years experience, or MA/MS with 3-6 years experience.
• Expertise using cyber tools (ACAS required and Splunk strongly desired) to identify anomalous behavior in scan logs and critical Malware issues to report regulatory cyber security compliance.
• Familiar with developing, testing, and integrating security tools as well as configuring and installing the tools.
• Experience designing, developing, implementing, and enforcing security requirements.
• Expertise preparing Security Test and Evaluation plans.
• Has provided certification and accreditation support.
• Experience developing security plans and contingency plans.
• Skilled in conducting security audits and developing mitigations to identified risks. Has conducted vulnerability assessments.
