QA Lead

Work you’ll do/Responsibilities  

• Test Leadership & Project Delivery
  • Lead and manage a QA team of 30+ professionals, including test analysts, automation engineers, and junior leads.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive test strategies, plans, and schedules aligned with project delivery milestones.
  • Allocate resources, assign tasks, and monitor team performance to ensure timely and high-quality project outcomes.
  • Act as the primary QA point of contact, providing regular updates to project stakeholders and senior management.
• Hands-On Test Execution
  • Actively participate in test case design, execution, and defect management for critical project components.
  • Oversee the creation, review, and maintenance of all test documentation (test cases, scripts, traceability matrices).
  • Drive the adoption and integration of test automation and continuous integration practices where feasible.
  • Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement
  • Ensure adherence to QA best practices, standards, and methodologies across the project lifecycle.
  • Identify process gaps and implement improvements to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Facilitate root cause analysis for defects and drive corrective and preventive actions.
  • Stakeholder Management & Communication
  • Collaborate with project managers, product owners, developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure requirements are understood and test coverage is complete.
  • Communicate test progress, results, risks, and issues clearly and proactively to all relevant parties.
  • Manage escalations and provide solutions to resolve testing-related challenges.
• Reporting & Metrics
• Define, track, and report on key QA and project delivery metrics (e.g., defect density, test coverage, execution progress).
• Prepare and present regular status reports, dashboards, and post-release quality summaries to stakeholders.
• Communicate regularly with Engagement Managers (Directors), project team members, and representatives from various functional and / or technical teams, including escalating any matters that require additional attention and consideration from engagement management
• Independently and collaboratively lead client engagement workstreams focused on improvement, optimization, and transformation of processes including implementing leading practice workflows, addressing deficits in quality, and driving operational outcomes

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in QA/testing, with at least 2 years in a lead or managerial role within project delivery environments.
• Proven experience managing large QA teams (20+), preferably in complex, multi-phase project delivery settings.
• Strong understanding of project delivery management principles, methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall), and best practices.
• Expertise in test management tools (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM, Zephyr) and automati
