About the role

Penguin Random House Audio, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Brands and Partnerships to join our innovative PRH Audio team. The Director of Brands and Partnerships will be responsible for project managing licensed brand publishing within PRH Audio, driving growth and maximizing opportunities for our diverse portfolio of audiobooks. Additionally, this role will seek out new partnerships within the publishing community and beyond.  The Director will be a key player in negotiating deals, fostering relationships, and identifying new avenues for collaboration. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a strong background in publishing, licensing, or acquisitions, and possesses exceptional negotiation skills.

This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, with the expectation of working 2-3 days per week at our office in Midtown Manhattan.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Oversees and manages all licensed brand publishing and partnerships for PRH Audio.
  • Develops and executes strategic plans to drive growth.
  • Identifies and negotiates new partnership opportunities to expand our reach and influence.
  • Collaborates with internal teams, including production, marketing, sales, and editorial, to align brand strategies and initiatives.
  • Fosters and maintains strong relationships with existing partners, ensuring mutual benefit and ongoing collaboration.
  • Monitors industry trends.
  • Provides feedback to the print brands teams, ensuring alignment with overall company goals.
  • Prepares and presents regular reports on brand performance and partnership outcomes to senior management.

 

Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years of experience in publishing, licensing, acquisitions, or a related field
  • Exceptional negotiation and communication skills
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-starter with a proactive approach to identifying and pursuing opportunities
  • Proven track record of successful brand management and partnership development preferred
  • Familiarity with the audiobook industry.

 

The salary range for this position is $110,000 - $130,000. All positions are currently eligible for annual profit award or bonus, subject to company results.
