Experiential Learning & Academic Excellence

Pay Rate: $15/hour

REMUNERATION

This is an hourly, paid position of on average 5-10 hours per week.

SUPERVISION

For training, support, and guidance in completing the position responsibilities this position reports to the Associate Director, Experiential Learning.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Experiential Learning Student Worker will assist the Experiential Learning team on projects and events related to the Foundations of Management & Entrepreneurship (FME) course, Peer Tutoring Program, Advanced Experiential courses, and other experiential learning programs. Responsibilities include customer service in the suite lobby, planning/administrative tasks, program marketing assistance, as well as overseeing our social media (Instagram) account.

Position is in-person in Experiential Learning & Academic Excellence: Hollister 207.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & SKILLS

• Establish relationships with Experiential Learning & Academic Excellence staff and students enrolled in experiential courses
• Open communication with staff and students regarding questions and needs
• Complete projects within outlined timelines
• Customer service and first contact for anyone who walks into the suite
• Maintain confidentiality with information (student, staff, faculty, etc.)
• Attention to detail and organizational skills necessary for success in this role
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Strong oral and written communication skills 
• Willingness to take initiative
• Ability to work successfully with diverse constituencies
• Comfortable with technology (Microsoft Word, Scheduling websites, Social Media, etc.)

EXPERIENCE

• Successful completion of FME1000, FME1001, and ACC1000
• Prior work/office experience helpful, but not required
