Registered Nurse - Wellness Nurse

Spectrum Healthcare Resources has an excellent opportunity for a civilian RN - Wellness Nurse at Dumfries Ambulatory Care Clinic in Dumfries, VA. This position is a full-time 40 hours a week schedule.  We provide out-patient clinic services for enlisted and retired military personnel in association with Ft. Belvoir Community Hospital.

Job duties:

• completes chart audits to ensure that schedule patients meet HEDIS measures
• provide health education to patients with topics such as nutrition, exercise and other lifestyle adjustments related to clinical visit. 
• perform health assessments such as physical exams, colonoscopy, mammograms, well visits, diabetic screenings, etc
• excellent communication skills; both written and oral
• ability to multi-task

 

Requirements:

 

• U.S. Citizen
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited college or university; and/or graduate of an accredited National League of Nursing (NLN) School
• Current and valid state license (with no limitations, stipulations, or pending adverse actions) to practice as a Registered Nurse in one of the 50 States, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands
• 3 years acute care RN experience preferred
• Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS)
